girl...one little piece of advice...RUN THROUGH THE BIG OPEN FIELDS WAVING YOUR ARMS!! Who really cares anyway? The only opinion that matters is Andrew, and I'm sure part of why he likes you is that you are silly and crazy and fun. I know that's one of the things I have come to love about you! You don't seem to care what others think, and that's awesome! Maybe letting go every now and then and just being who you are, who God made you, will help alleviate some of the frustration. Love ya girl...and I feel your pain trust me...

May I suggest a book by Richard Foster called "The Spiritual Disciplines." This book of course will be of no help if you don't start implementing the disciplines. I have read two chapters over the course of about 8 months because I want to be able to have a real relationship with Christ. Before, I mostly just went to Him when I felt like I needed Him. Now that I have grown closer to Him, I feel like I need Him all the time and so spend a lot more time in communion with Him. (Although still not as much as He seems to desire from me).

If you want to find out who you are, grow closer to Christ, because then He will turn you into the person He wants you to be.

And about loneliness, believe me, I understand, especially after breaking up with Matt. But don't assume it is something you have inflicted upon yourself. I believe there are two reasons for loneliness.

One is because God intended for man to be with woman and when that intimacy is not fulfilled, we become lonely. After all it was God who said "It is not good for the man to be alone; I will make him a helper suitable for him" (Gen. 2:18 NASB). If God intends for us to have a close relationship with a man and we don't, loneliness will naturally come and will continue to be there I think till we marry and have an intimate relationship with our husbands.

And two, because God is calling us to Himself. We are the bride of Christ. The husband, Christ, desires to have a relationship with us. He simply wants us to make Him not only a big part of our lives, but all of our lives...to be in constant communion with Him.

I hope that may have helped.

Corinne, You are such a dear. Don't give in to hopelessness/ helplessness, because that is when the Evil one will attach. I am with you in the high expectations yet hypocritically falling short of them myself. We can be partners in striving for Christ-like qualities. Not one of us is capable of meeting them, yet we are permitted to strive for them. :) It was great hearing from you last night and I hope we correspond more this Summer.

Love ya,
        Chrissi
